Bridges Programmes is a specialist not for profit organisation working for the last 15 years with refugees, asylum seekers and migrants, to develop and facilitate their economic and social integration through a variety of empowerment, mentoring and work based interventions. These include work placements, employer engagement, awareness raising training and support, recognition of prior experience and learning, empowerment and life skills support and a ten step employability/education/training/skills programme and sector specific English language programmes.
Bridges Programmes has been working on European transnational activity for twelve years . Bridges is recognised as an example of Best Practice in this sector both in the UK and in Europe. Bridges has developed a “curriculum” of skills and experience needed to work effectively on the inclusion and integration of asylum seekers, migrants and refugees. Bridges has produced several publications on these issues and has many years experience of knowledge transfer of our methodologies and materials both in Scotland, the wider UK and across Europe.
